The Shine Shop

The Shine Shop came looking for a new brand to kick off their new business.
The initial ask was for something unique with a touch of retro style.
After looking at the demographics, and competition in the market, the best route forward was to build an approachable brand, focusing on excellent service, and being locally-operated.
During the discovery phase, I leaned on the service station attendants of the 40s and 50s to reinforce The Shine Shop’s commitment to excellence and having a community focus. The resulting brand has strong vintage ties, with an Art Deco font that is paired with a mascot that feels like it was pulled from an old gas station sign.
The vintage approach is leveraged with a modern secondary font, and youthful photography that is still relevant to a younger demographic.
